Once a Christian is saved, are they ALWAYS saved?
The answer to this question might surprise you but it is a big fat NO!!! The exclamation points at the end are for strong and deep emphasis. I say this because there is doctrine being taught and spread in The Body of Christ that once someone is saved, they are always saved. However, I submit to you my brothers and sisters in Christ that this is not in fact true. A Christian can absolutely lose their salvation.
In digging a bit deeper, salvation is not a one-and-done type of deal or contract you make in The Lord. This is why the apostle Paul urged the church to work out their salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12-13). You see in the first commandment , God stated that we are to have no other gods beside Him and to worship Him and Him alone. Unknowingly, we can enter into covenants and contracts with other deities that sadly forfeit the beautiful gift of salvation in Christ Jesus.
Now I know that might be a hard pill to swallow for many because like I said earlier, many are taught this heresy in the church. Do you think that these covenants are always glaringly obvious? Of course not!!! That’s not how Satan works. He is a cunning snake and therefore, these things happen subtly unbeknownst to the believer.
For example, in today’s culture one can be initiated into covenants outside of God through music or even a relationship. Satan’s influence is present among many artists in the music industry and as one listens to the music through the ear gate, they are being initiated into a kingdom outside of God.
Curiosity into other religions or affiliation with others within those religions, can unknowingly dedicate believers to other gods. Being involved in a romantic relationship with someone is a type of covenant and Yahweh is a covenant keeping God. Subsequently, if you enter into covenant with this romantic partner or association, you are being dedicated to your partner’s deity regardless of how much you may love God and accepted Christ as your Savior.
Whew…now this is some heavy stuff but I do not want my fellow believers to erroneously believe false doctrine. I also know this is a strong message but we’ve been called to share and teach the truth. Christ Jesus said “those who endure until the end, they shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13). Therefore, my brothers and sisters in Christ, you must fight this good fight of faith and endure! God is a jealous God and beside Him, THERE.CANNOT.AND.SHOULD NOT.BE.ANOTHER. Period!!!!!
I love you all with the love of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua and now I would like to pray for you:
Christ Jesus,
I want to thank you for each and every person reading this blog post that was given me by way of you Holy Spirit. And Lord, I would also like to thank you for the grace you have given me in sharing the gospel and the good news of how you shed your blood for our sins at Calvary. I don’t do this in my own strength but know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I pray that Holy Spirit conviction falls upon those reading this and that your love calls them to repentance for unknowingly falling away to another deity. May they remember in you that all hope is not lost and that they can renounce those covenants entered into that forsook their salvation in you, Christ Jesus. May they share with others that once saved, always saved is a lie from the pits of hell and a tactic of the enemy. However, we have a wonderful teacher in Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth. And it’s in your beautiful, wonderful, amazing, mighty, matchless, powerful, glorious name I pray Yeshua. AMEN and AMEN!!!!!
Have a blessed and fabulous day,
-Trena
